What’s new in the 2020 Toyota Corolla?

We were excited to see all of the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback models that Toyota teamed up with several aftermarket specialists to create for the 2018 SEMA Show, but what we got at the LA Auto Show is even more thrilling. Why is that? Because Toyota introduced an all-new, completely redesigned 2020 Toyota Corolla for the new model year, and we simply cannot wait for its arrival. Remodeled from bumper to bumper and the ground up, we thought we’d go through just a few of the highlights regarding what’s new in the model.

Obviously, the most noticeable difference between the previous iteration and the all-new 2020 Corolla is its design, which we’re absolutely in love with. We’re not going to go through every single detail of what’s new in the design, as you can simply see everything that’s new by looking at pictures of the model, but rest assured they’re impressive.

There will be two different powertrains to choose from in 2020, the first of which is the 1.8L engine found in the current generation of Corolla; however, it will be enhanced and offer superior horsepower and fuel efficiency to the current version. Higher trim levels will come standard with a more powerful engine option in the form of a brand-new 2.0L 4-cylinder engine never utilized before. While fuel economy ratings have yet to be tested, the new engine will generate 169 horsepower alongside 151 pound-feet of torque.

We’re not going to list all of the new features found in the 2020 Corolla either, simply because we’d be here all day. Instead, we’ll just highlight a few: available Dynamic-Shift CVT or Six-Speed Manual Transmission, standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package, and standard Entune 3.0 Audio which now features Wi-Fi Connect, Apple CarPlay and even Amazon Alexa.
