All the way back at the turn of the century, Toyota introduced a new subcompact entry-level sedan called the Toyota Vitz. It wasn’t initially available in North America, but eventually, the vehicle made its way across the pond and was renamed the Toyota Yaris. Through the years, many different iterations of both the hatchback and traditional sedan versions of the Yaris have existed, but most recently the two switched places.
